Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
On Thursday 26th May 2022, the children welcomed the Deputy Lieutenant Mrs Catherine Penny to school to help celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Commemorative medals (kindly donated by the PTFA) were presented to each child to mark this momentous occasion.
Children from Maple Class entertained the audience with two wonderful maypole dances and the day was spent completing a range of exciting jubilee themed activities including; cricket, traditional games, pebble painting and fruit kebab toasting on the campfire!
A jubilee themed lunch, provided by Mrs Whiteside completed the celebrations. I am sure the children will remember this day fondly in years to come.
