Blended Learning Guidance

Welcome to all our new Reception children and parents.

We hope you are excited about your journey into 'big' school. 

The following activities  are for your child to complete at home as part of our Blended Learning Strategy. These activities  provide opportunities for your child to practise and apply skills learnt in school in their home environment.

Speaking & Listening:

Talk with your child about different animals to expand their vocabulary (See the Speaking & Listening section below for ideas)

Phonics: 

Daily practise of sounds and actions  &  weekly HFW games

Reading: 

5-10 minutes each day (recorded in the reading record)

Maths: 

Two activities set on 'Mathletics' or a combination of Mathletics and Practical maths

Fine Motor Skills: 

Weekly practical activities and letter formation activities (Phonics Page)
