We will be learning about features of autobiography including: the use of first person past tense, chronological order, a more informal style, incuslion of anecdotes to engage the reader.

Our writing focus will be sentence structure: use of relative clauses, complex sentences, sentence openers, short sentences for effect, use of dialogue (direct and reported speech).

Children will be writing in character using the characters from the class novel Someday Angeline.

The unit outcome will be an autobiography (written in character) of Miss Turnbone from the class novel.
