Autumn 1

The children have more spellings to learn as they move into year 2. They have some phonics words to learn which is linked to our spellings each week and they have some common exception words to learn. There may seem like a lot of spellings but the common exceptions words are repeated throughout the year e.g. the word 'because' may appear 2-3 times in one term and 10+ times within the year. 

Spelling tests take place on a Monday.
