Weekly Blended Learning Expectations 

Home Learning activities will continue to be set in this area of the website

All children in Willow Class should continue to read their home reading books on a daily basis and practise any other key words / sounds they are set.  Decoding skills remain the focus of the homework with re-reading of the full sentence to develop comprehension skills. 

Please discuss new vocabulary and story/factual content to aid the development of your child's comprehension skills.

Spellings will be set each Monday for a test on the following Monday.

Mathletic activities will be set on a weekly basis.

Additional English, Maths and topic work will be set to support learning in the classroom as and when necessary. 

This term we will be linking our learning to the following topics:

English: 

- Poems on a theme

- Reading and writing stories with a repeating pattern

- Reading and writing non- fiction text

Science: Light and dark

Geography: Living in the countryside
