Teaching Assistant Role (Required September 2024)

Whitechapel Primary school is a popular, rural, school that prides itself on its strong, social caring ethos.  It is extremely well resourced and has committed and friendly staff with happy children and supportive parents.

The school is located close to Inglewhite and has extensive grounds enabling us to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities.  As a result, children travel from the surrounding areas and further afield to attend our successful school.

The children, staff and Governors are looking to appoint a highly effective, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our school.  Our Teaching Assistants play a vital role in the educational, personal and social development of our children.  It is important that the successful candidate is friendly, hardworking, adaptable, able to use their own initiative and excited to join our small and dedicated team.

The successful applicant will:

• Work closely with the Key Stage 2 class teachers (Y3-6) to support the learning and enhance quality first teaching
• Deliver literacy and numeracy alongside the class teachers each morning
• Have high expectations of children’s work and behaviour and positively reinforce all aspects of school life
• Have a passion for developing children’s learning and supporting children with additional learning needs
• Establish supportive and constructive relationships with children, staff and parents
• Be committed to whole-school life and be willing to support extra-curricular activities and school events if required
• Show a willingness to develop and engage in continuous professional development

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.

Working Hours:  8:45am – 12:45pm Mon-Fri

Essential Qualifications

English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent)

      TA qualification NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)

Essential Experience

Experience of working with primary aged children

Desirable Experience

Experience of working in a key stage 2 classroom
