Week 4: th/th, ng

Our new phonemes this week are ng, th unvoiced, th voiced (see video). We have also learnt to read the tricky words you and they.

The new phoneme cards and tricky words will be added to your child's wallet on Thursday. You can use these cards to make simple CVC words for your child to read, such as paththick, ring. Also, try saying a word (e.g. bath) and ask your child to chop it up into the phonemes they can hear i.e. b - a - th.

Synthetic Phonics | Two Sounds of TH | Learning Strategy
