Week 3: oo/oo

Our new phonemes this week are oo (short), oo (long). We have also learnt to read the tricky words said and when.

The new phoneme cards and tricky words will be added to your child's wallet on Thursday. You can use these cards to make words for your child to read, such as bookwoodmoon. Also, try saying a word (e.g. tooth) and ask your child to chop it up into the phonemes they can hear i.e. t - oo - th.

We have also read longer two-syllable words like bedroombathroom and cooking!
