Week 2: oi, ear

Our new phonemes this week are oi, ear. We have also learnt to read the tricky words so and were.

The new phoneme cards and tricky words will be added to your child's wallet on Thursday. You can use these cards to make CVC words for your child to read, such as joinyearhear. Also, try saying a word (e.g. boil) and ask your child to chop it up into the phonemes they can hear i.e. b - oi - l.

We have also read longer two-syllable words like tinfoil and earwig!
