Subordination

In year 2, we use subordination to for time and for reason. 

Time

We use the conjunctions: when, before and after. 

We went out to play after we had finished our writing.

When we had finished our maths, we went to dinner.

Reason

We use the conjunctions: because and if.

I put my coat on because it was raining. 

If it starts raining, I will put on my coat.
