William Shakespeare

Macbeth

In this unit we will be learning about Shakespeare and his plays including comedies and tragedies.

The focus of our learning will be Macbeth.  We will be learning about characters (heroes, villians, anti-heroes), plot, techniques used by authors to create specific effects.

Our writing will include: descriptive writing, persuasive writing, script writing, and journalistic writing.

Children will be learning creatively using drama techniques to access Shakespearian language in order to develop their understanding of older texts from English Literature.
