Meet the staff
The Staff at Whitechapel Primary School
Headteacher & Willow Class: Nicola Noblett
I am extremely proud to be the headteacher of Whitechapel Primary School, working alongside a hard-working, dedicated and committed staff and governing body. I bring to the school over thirty years teaching experience across the key stages, in a variety of school settings.
As a teaching head, I am able to fulfil my passion for teaching and learning in the classroom for two days a week. This enables me to lead from the front and ensure high quality provision here at Whitechapel.
Willow Class: Elizabeth Howson
I am Reception/ Year 1 class teacher, I have a strong passion combined with experience of Early Years and Infant teaching. I teach the curriculum through children’s interest, ideas, engaging children in meaningful learning indoors and outdoors. My areas of responsibility include Early Years, Science, PE and Forest Schools.
Rowan Class & SENCO: Rebecca Paul
I am very proud to work at Whitechapel Primary School as the year 2 teacher. I have worked in a variety of schools of different sizes and settings and bring with me a huge passion for teaching.
I am extremely passionate about Special Education Needs and I am so pleased to take on the role of SENCO and be part of the senior leadership team here at Whitechapel. My other responsibilities extend to Computing and Online Safety Lead.
Maple Class: Michelle White
I joined Whitechapel in September 2025, bringing with me 15 years of teaching experience from across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. As the Behaviour and Pupil Wellbeing Lead and a member of the senior leadership team, I am dedicated to creating a positive learning environment for all. I also lead Mathematics and PSHE. I'm really proud to be part of such a strong school community where the pastoral care of our pupils is a high priority.
Oak Class: Aaron Denver
I am the year 5/6 teacher here at Whitechapel Primary School. I have a particular passion for sport and love teaching PE for the school. I am also responsible for the teaching and learning in geography and history. I feel privileged to teach at a school with children and staff that all share a passion for learning.
Oak Class: Melissa Connell
With over thirty years experience as a class teacher, senior leader and school governor, I currently share responsibility for year five and six with Mr Denver. With an MA in English, I can offer expert leadership in all aspects teaching and learning for the English curriculum across the key stages at Whitechapel.
